Abstract:As the essential part of tratidional Chinese medicine(TCM), the research and development of classic formula have become a hot spot in TCM industry. However, with the change of the age, the species, medical part and origin of TCM have more or less changed. It is of great significance for the safety and effectiveness of the classical prescription to clarify the varieties and medicinal parts of TCM. In this paper, based on the discussion of the methods of textual research on the Chinese herbs, the species and medical parts, origin of Chinese herbs in a list of 100 famous classical formulas which promulgated by the state administration of TCM were analyzed. The textual research of Chinese herbs shows that most of the herbs involved in the classical formula have the problems of species, medical part, and origin. Therefore, it is of great significance for the selection of the species and medical parts, origin of the Chinese herbs in the research and development process of the classical formula.

Abstract:The inheritance of traditional clinical value of famous classical formulae is an important direction for the development of traditional Chinese medicine industry.Compared with the previous research and development of new drugs, the management requirement of " material reference" was introduced into the famous classical formulae research, which is used as the reference of process optimization and quality control. The characteristics of compound preparation of famous classical formulae are also reflected in the core concept of " quality inheritance of classics" in the road of industrial development. How to implement the above requirements and concepts into product development and industrial production? There are many specific common problems to be solved in practical research. How to effectively establish the " material reference" of famous classical formulae of different dosage forms? How to use " material reference" to guide the process optimization of compound preparation of famous classical formulae? How to determine the daily dose of famous classical formulae? How to take effective measures in the selection of raw material to reduce quality fluctuation range? This paper discusses the key issues such as production process and quality evaluation from the following aspects.Firstly, the management regulations and research and development guidelines are analyzed, and the specific implementation methods are given. Then, the possible problems in the Requirements for Declaration Documents (Draft for Opinions) are pointed out, and relevant suggestions are given. Finally, based on the research experience of standard decoction and famous classical formulae in the laboratory, an example is given to provide reference for the development of compound preparation of famous classical formulae.

Abstract:Quality marker(Q-marker) is a new concept and pattern for quality control of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), which will lead the development direction for quality control of TCM. Among them, how to characterize the overall quality attribute of TCM and its biological effect, is a critical scientific problem in the study of Q-marker. In this paper, integrated pharmacology is utilized to screen out and confirm the Q-marker from the complex system of TCM, so as to solve the critical scientific problem. System biology in vivo is firstly applied to establish the correlation of chemical fingerprints of TCM, their metabolic fingerprints, network targets, biological effects and efficacy of TCM, which is used to preliminary screen out Q-marker of TCM. Following that, a pharmacological method in vitro, including intestinal absorption in vitro coupled with bioactivity assessment, is employed to simultaneously determine the absorbed doses of TCM and evaluate their biological activity. Furthermore, data mining is utilized to establish the exact quantitative mathematic model between Q-marker of TCM and bioactivity. Meanwhile, two representative examples, including Yuanhu Zhitong tablets, Xinsuning capsules, are introduced to identify Q-marker of TCM and establish their quality standards related with bioactivity, which will be beneficial to improve the level of quality control of TCM and ensure the effectiveness and safety of clinical applications.

Abstract:The blood-vein theory is inherited and developed. Combined with the related theory features of Qi and blood of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), the progress results in two national 973 plan projects undertaken are learned from, the vessel-collateral theory guiding the prevention and treatment of vascular lesions is systematically built, the academic development of TCM collateral disease discipline is pushed from " treatment of symptoms of collateral disease" to study on " vessel-collateral theory" , a new stage in the history. The pathogenesis, basic pathogenesis, clinical syndrome and syndrome differentiation therapy of vessel-collateral lesions are systematically studied, Yingwei theory, the core content of vessel-collateral theory, is proposed, the syndrome differential diagnosis standard of " vessel-collateral-vascular system disease" is established, and the blood-vessel theory of TCM is improved. The development of Yingwei theory of vessel-collateral theory is deepened. The theory of Yingwei sympathia and Yingwei's " opening by collaterals, intersecting and generating" are proposed to guide the study on prevention and control of vascular lesions. With tertiary collaterals-microvessel as a breakthrough point of research, four types of microscopic pathological features of microvessels are proposed. It is confirmed that dredging collaterals and protecting tertiary collaterals-microvessel is the common key mechanism for the treatment of major diseases of heart, brain and kidney(sugar). It protects microvessels, improves blood flow perfusion, protects tissue cells, and improves the viscera function. Dredging collaterals and protecting microvascular endothelial cells is the core mechanism of treating tertiary collaterals-microvessel lesions. It is proposed that protection of microvascular endothelial cells is a new strategy to solve the problem of microvascular lesions. After more than ten years, four studies of evidence-based medicine have been completed to solve the clinical problem of acute myocardial infarction without reflow. New drugs are provided to the international medical problem of cardiac insufficiency with premature ventricular contraction. The gap of fast and slow treatment, integration and rhythm adjustment of sinus bradycardia with premature ventricular contraction is filled. The clinical treatment effect of chronic heart failure is significantly improved, a major breakthrough in the treatment of microvascular lesions by TCM is achieved, and it is fully recognized and highly evaluated by the medical profession at home and abroad. It promotes the specialized subject platform construction and society development under the guidance of Yingwei theory of vessel-collateral theory, as well as the clinical application of syndrome differentiation diagnosis and treatment method and drugs of vessel-collateral lesions, and has significant social and economic benefits.
